Radiography: Radiology and radiation protection: Maintaining clarity and promoting safety in dental radiography presented by Edward Walker

This lecture aims to recap the fundamental principles for acquiring images of diagnostic quality, with practical take-home messages for the dental practitioner. Key anatomy relevant to dental radiography and fundamental radiological review areas will be discussed. Essential steps for maintaining staff and patient safety during radiological investigations will be considered through the application of radiation protection legislation and individual justification of x-ray exposures.
