Bridge2Aid trains rural health workers in emergency dental care and oral health education in East Africa.

In Tanzania, there are just 111 dentists to serve a population of 56 million. Rural communities don’t have access to dental care, and don’t have the money to enable them to travel to Regional Hospitals where they may find help. Bridge2Aid works in consultation with the Tanzanian and Malawian Ministries of Health to train rural health workers in basic skills to enable them to care for their communities – of around 10,000 people. Bridge2Aid was founded 15years ago and so far has given access to care to around 6 million people.
