BA Repair Hub – B.A.’s new handpiece repair app

Ever wondered about the status of your handpiece repair? B.A. International has launched a new app which allows you to track the progress of your device’s service.

At B.A. International, we are excited to introduce to you our new and innovative app, the ‘BA Repair Hub’, designed for dental professionals to easily manage devices and check their repair status. You can now keep track of your handpiece, from the moment it arrives at our workshop to the moment it is dispatched back to you.

How does it work?

The process is simple: before you send us your handpiece, fill in its details on our app. Include a photo of the device and select which service option you require. Similar to our yellow repair bags widely used by our customers, you can select on the app whether you would like to receive a free quotation prior to the repair, or request a warranty claim. After everything required is filled out, all you need to do is put your handpiece in the post as normal.

Track your handpiece repair

You will receive a unique number for your repair – either through a free pre-paid postage label that gets sent directly to your email, or you can scan the QR code on the back of your B.A. repair bag. With this number, your repair can automatically be tracked. The app will send you notifications when your device arrives at B.A. International, when the handpiece as been assessed and quoted, when it is being repaired and when it has been dispatched back to you.

Access your handpiece’s repair log

In addition to the tracking system, the app offers another useful feature. Your device’s repair and service history will now be logged in the app for you to access at any time. This provides your practice with an easy way to keep an overview of how often a handpiece has been in for repair – knowing the frequency of repairs helps you address any potential mechanical or maintenance issues or whether it is time for a new device. Plus, you will be able to check when your devices’ next recommended service is due. Keeping your handpieces regularly serviced, just like your car, allows for a much longer lifespan.

No need to phone us – we update you

With an increasing number of dentists and practitioners incorporating digital practices into their workflow, and an overall rise in the use of mobile technology, B.A. International’s repair app endeavours to introduce an easier and more efficient way for the dental professional to take care of their handpiece repairs, allowing them to spend more of their valuable time dedicated to the patient. The ‘BA Repair Hub’ reduces the time needed to place phone calls to find out about your handpiece – our app will automatically update you. You will also have more of an overview as to when your handpieces will be back with you after their service – as well as our usual 24 hour turnaround service on most repairs, you have the additional assurance of knowing when your devices have arrived safely with us and when they have been dispatched. In today’s busy world, effective time management is essential – B.A.’s app helps you reduce your admin work.

B.A. International’s app is free to download and available for both iOS and Android systems. Simply search for us, or for “BA Repair Hub” on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and follow the instructions to download and install the app to your device. After signing up, a short video will give you an overview of how it all works – then you’re ready to go!
