Laser dentistry or laser assisted dentistry is not a new technology; it has been used in dentistry for over 30 years, and is a must. Lasers can be used for soft tissue manipulation for procedures such as Frenectomy, Gingivectomy and Implant recovery, with added benefits such as no pain, no bleeding and faster healing. Becoming a laser dentist will set you apart from your nearest competition.
The soft tissue laser can be used for multiple applications such as surgery, sterilisation, coagulation, therapy LLLT and whitening. The most common soft tissue laser is the diode laser with wavelengths ranging from 810nm – 980nm.
The BILD laser course covers the diode soft tissue laser, with clinical training on sheep head specimens using a 5w 810nm laser and a 12w laser with 810+980nm dual wavelength technology, from the manufacturers and course sponsor Quicklase.
Gain valuable experience in laser dentistry with advanced techniques in clinical and cosmetic procedures. The 1 day course includes an introduction of lasers from fundamentals to clinical procedures covering health and safety, marketing then followed by an afternoon of clinical hands-on training.
The BILD courses are known for being practical and allowing dentists to leave the course and have the confidence to start using a laser straight away.
