Practice Plan will celebrate their 25th year of supporting dentists to build strong and successful businesses in 2020.
Over the past quarter of a century, Practice Plan has grown to become the leading provider of practice-branded dental plans.
They have helped over 1,500 dental practices to transform the profitability of their business through the combination of a well-populated plan and personalised support including marketing, business advice, events and training. They have also supported many practices to make a successful transition to private dentistry.
Nigel Jones, Sales and Marketing Director at Practice Plan, said, “I have worked in dentistry for over 30 years and, like many others, that is in part because it is an exciting profession that is always changing.
“And one of the reasons I think Practice Plan has stood the test of time and continues to attract new members, is that we focus on keeping pace with those changes, understanding what dentists want and adapting to make sure we can proactively meet those needs.
“We can do that as, although the industry has changed, our team has been incredibly stable. Almost half of our field team have been with us for 10 years or more and, in total, they have more than 300 years’ experience in dentistry and healthcare.”
With 25 years behind them, Practice Plan are not resting on their laurels. They continue to listen to dentists and make sure they provide the support and resources that the profession really wants.
During 2019, they held seven events, called ‘What Next For NHS Dentistry?’, which gave dentists a chance to hear from and question a panel of professionals, many of whom are directly involved in contract reform, about how they could be impacted by future changes to the NHS contract.
On top of this, they have launched a new website in 2020 with an online NHS Hub full of information and resources such as videos, podcasts, blogs and interviews with key figures from the profession.
In 2020, Practice Plan will be holding several new events aimed at those who are considering moving to private dentistry but aren’t sure what their next step should be. These fact-finder workshops will give dentists the chance to hear from and ask advice of experts and peers who have been through the process.
Four of these events, called ‘Are You Ready To Break Free From The NHS?’, will take place in January and February in Solihull, Manchester, Durham and Gatwick.
Nigel added, “We have built strong relationships with dentists over the years, and our focus is always on supporting them to plan ahead and make well-informed decisions to grow their practice and benefit their patients.
“What has been coming through loud and clear from the profession this year is that they feel there is a lack of information about the contract reform process. As a solution to that, we have put on free events to bring that information to them and this year will be launching our NHS Hub, an online site that will include information and opinion from key figures in dentistry on topics such as contract reform and managing stress.
“Our goal is always to support dentists to succeed. It’s what we have done for the past 25 years and it’s what we will continue to do for the next 25 years and beyond.”
